I get what he's saying, but the true melee players understand why it's necessary to ban grief/exile; if you don't, everyone is basically playing a clone of their opponent, which is boring as evidenced by pub melee duels.

He's right though, it really is richest nerd wins, but that's always been D2 for the most part.

Clearly some of you are returning from massive hiatus. The Grief has been banned in melee duels since like ‘03. Regardless of your feelings about it, and however true or false your claims may be, the grief will remain banned. That’s this group and every other melee group. Get used to it or find some BM melee duel pubs because that’s the only place you won’t get exiled for it.

that's how you see it.. I see it as this, if everyone used grief then all the other item slots become way more diverse and the person who spends 100k+ on a rare axe doesn't automatically become the winner the majority of the time
