While it is in bad form, it’s also just a dumb mistake. If slow was awarded the win (just 1 duel with wrong gear?) I feel like it’s legit to move on past that.

I auto-pilot swapped into my prudence set, did 1 duel, and got called out on it (they could see my gear with kolbot addon). I obviously realized I wasn't fucking green at that point but didn't initially come clean about it, instead, I did a full 2 minute afk of having my face in my palms irl before ultimately telling them I had a prudence on. It looked real bad.

Side note, can’t you modify things like fhr, ias with kolbot? I was under the impression it wasn’t allowed in tourneys, tho not specifically mentioned here.

Not trying to throw shade at all. I have never run kolbot so IDK 100%, but I do remember that this has come up in past seasons since it can give advantage, however small.

All GM dueling/tourneys (not melee) you cant load with kolbot - it’s banned

They were both willing to let me continue but I don't feel very good about it, this is my choice. I really appreciate it guys but please stop defending me, it's not fair to Slownoma or PvPing, they are in the right here.

I'm going to remain DQ'd and if the tournament winner wants to do a match after for 6300FG we can do that.

I hear you for sure but he also stated it was pvping whom was not in the matchup anyways. I say the best move is for you to take the L on that match, and just come to the losers bracket side for now and be more careful. Taking a loss is punishment enough imo but you can obviously do what you think is right also; just my two cents

Alright man - understand you have a relationship with doug but let's not flip this shit on us.

This is what happened:

1) I was spectating with kolbot, Slownoma was not using kolbot. I can prove to you with discord screenshots that slow had no idea.
2) Doug was losing 3-0 and switched to prudence so this shit was 100% intentional not "oops I started the match without thinking about my gear"
3) I asked doug what armor he switched to and he said "etemps"
4) I messaged slow on discord alerting him that doug was using prudence. Doug won 2 duels in that span at which point I asked doug to come to town to show me his armor. He went afk
5) Doug then pm'd slow saying "shit I didn't mean to and I don't know what to do with pvping here"
6) I told Doug to take a FF loss. Slow, being the good guy that he is, said he wanted to earn his victory and would allow doug to swap back to etemps @ 3-0 for slow.
7) We all agreed to keep it between us and let the match continue.
8) After the match I asked Doug to send me the prize pool for the tournament which he did promptly. I will be distributing the funds for the winners. Doug will not receive any fg.

Surely we are all competitive people, but this is a fair play league and to be honest I was fucking shocked when I found out Doug was cheating. I wanted to keep it private because I thought it would actually kill our league if this came out.

Imagine feeling like you need a fucking referee in your matches? We are all 30+ years old playing a 20 year old game in our spare time. For many of us, this might be one of the only competitive and fun activities we take part in.
When you cheat, you are stripping your opponent of that fun. I never once have suspected any foul play in any of my matches, shit even our pub duels are incredibly fair play, and the fact that our league has been tainted is unfair to all of us.

I spoke with Doug last night, and I think everyone here can agree that by-gones are by-gones and let's continue to be good mannered. If you lose, lose like a fucking man. Congratulate your opponent and go back to the drawing board to see what you can do to beat them next time.
It's the whole point of this league.
