"Using +maximum resistance + a piece of absorb is banned." - this rule means it might not be, but then if integer abs counts a "piece of absorb ", t-gods is banned on all characters?

Look in my profile if you want my version of rules. Those are already understood as bad rules.

European League (Official)

Duellleague (~2002-2007, closed) - The only official esl in the world witrh the biggest crowd on all leagues ever!
Art of War (~2008, closed) - One of the best-liked league ruleset.
Euro-PvP (~2006-2010, died) - International europ league, similar rules like the duellleague.
D2PvP (~2004, closed) - German-speaking league with the same rule like the duellleague. They keep his eyes on ffa mainly and involved in the D2PK
PCL (Dont know something) - young polish league
Op Duel (Open) - Chat-Channel in the Battle.net for Team vs. Team and FFA-Duelle. No ruleset there...
D2PK (~2008, closed) - PvP-Moddingserver, no ruleset.


American League (Official)

But they are all dead and no official Ruleset exsist, anywhere!!! That means that each challenge, tournament, ladder or whatever set her own rules!

- All players must agree to show a screenshot of their map or other elements in game if another team requests it. This
must be done without anyone leaving the current game for any reason. If a player drops from the game when screenshots is
asked, it will count as loss to him/his team and judges will look further sanctions for this player. Screenshot must be
taken inside duel area with /time command result, map and other elements as requested visible on it.
- If your opponent requests for charms or equipment check, you must agree to it and do it immediately without visiting
stash or leaving game.
- Intentionaly creating lag, for example by spamming curses, is not allowed.

Special Rules:

- Rejoining a game because of the Anya resist bug or "Guardian Angel" bug is allowed, leaving the game for any other reason
will result in a loss.
- Amazons are not allowed to return to town to refill arrows/bolts. Amazons are allowed to stack arrows/bolts somewhere
in the duel area.

Tournament rules:

- If a player is dropped during the game then the opponent (1v1) or team will wait for 15 minutes max for the dropped
player to return. If the player who dropped didn't return by then then the player who dropped will lose the match (1v1).
If it's a team vs team situation then the fight has to continue without the dropped player. If player drops in middle of
round, ongoing round must be played to end without the dropped player, and after that round the 15 mins wait time starts.
- In tournaments, duel time is limited to 90 minutes. When time limit is full, current round is played to end and result so
far counts. If result is a tie, another round has to be played in order to decide the winner in case of playoffs.
Otherwise (groups match) the result remain as a tie.
- A Player can represent only one team in a tournament. Judges can give permission to move to another team as a backup-player
in different stages of a tournament (for example in the playoff-phase if the original team is already out).
- If a player from a team can't play then a backup player may take his place but this player has to be of the same class
and must ofcourse play by the rules. Backup players can be taken only once in tournament, judges can give permit to do
more changes for valid reason.

League rules:

- If player drops in middle of 1 vs 1 round, that round will be loss to dropped player.
- If player drops in middle of TvT round, that round has to be played to end without the dropped player.
- After drop of player, player(s) left in game must wait 20 minutes for dropped player. If dropped player doesnt
return during this time, opponent player/team left in game can choose if they finish duel later from result so far
or they can choose restart option where whole duel will be restarted from 0-0 and played on some other occasion.
- If duel has taken more than 90 minutes, duel can be finished other day.

Penalties:

- Automatic penalty for minor rule break one lost round + wins in round(s)where it happened is lost . Minor rule break is
something that can be understood as a human error, like accidentally having 1% too much resist or one run charm too much.
- Automatic penalty for any bigger rule break is full loss in match where it happened.
- Judges will always look into rule break cases, and decide on further penalties, depending on the severity of the case.
Additional penalties may be: disqualification of team/player from tournament/league or disqualification of player in
team from tournament/league.



Limitations:


Banned Items:

- Bugged items are banned
- Grief runeword is banned
- Fortitude runeword is banned
- Faith runeword is banned
- Infinity runeword is banned
- Phoenix runeword is banned
- Spirit runeword in weapons is banned, in shields it is allowed
- Items with "Slow Target by xx%" are banned
- Items with "Knockback" are banned
- Use of skill charges not allowed
- Items with Chance to Cast "Amplify Damage" or "Decrepify" or "Iron Maiden" are banned
- Items with Chance to Cast "Life Tap" are not allowed, except for Barbarians, Trap Assassins and Melee Druids, casting
it from leechable minions is not allowed
- No ethereal items with socket(s) without indestructable or self-repair mod. (Exception: weapons not used in melee can be used)

Item Limitations:

- Maximum of 2 Rainbow Facet jewels per element can be used
- Blizzard may not use any +% to cold skill damage
- Maximum +40% to cold skill damage on Orb Sorceress
- Rising Sun amulet and Blackoak Shield are not allowed to be used as Absorb item
- Item with reduce Enemy Lightning Resistance counts as 2 lightning facets used.
- Maximum of 35% open wounds total. Melee characters without ranged attack can use unlimited open wounds vs Sorceress(1v1 and TvT).
- Teleport from runeword "Enigma" is not allowed unless specifically allowed elsewhere

Resists and Absorbs

- All resist limits in rules include resists gained from items, charms, Anya quest rewards, auras and Fade.
- Maximum 225% resistance in each element for all classes except Barbarian, is allowed unless otherwise defined elsewhere. For Barbarian this limit is 175%
- Maximum of 1 absorb item per element on all classes unless otherwise defined elsewhere in rules
- Exception is Nightwing's Veil helm, which can be used with Energy shield or Cyclone armor without counting it as absorb
- Maximum -25% poison lenght reduce allowed unless otherwise defined elsewhere
- Melee characters without ranged attack can use -50% poison lenght reduce vs Amazon

Banned Charms:

- Hellfire Torch is banned
- Charms with poison damage are banned
- Paladin defensive aura skill charms are banned
- Sorceress +1 lightning skills/39life with this skin -- are banned
- Small charms 3max/20ar/20life with this skin -- are banned
- Small charms 3max/20ar/5 %run with this skin -- are banned
- Small charms 3max/19ar/20life with this skin -- are banned
- Small charms 3max/20ar/19life with this skin -- are banned

Strength Bug:

- You must pick up all items with +% FRW (with the slot that you will use to attack opponents) without any +strength from
charms.
- Shields, armors, helms, and weapons must be visible at all times.
- This doesn't apply to teleporting characters.



Character Rules

Amazon

General:

-25% Damage Reduction
-110% runwalk
-30 replenish life allowed except vs Necromancer and Amazon where you may use a max of 13 replenish life.

1v1 rules:

- No lightbolt/fury against barbarian and melee druid
- No multishot against elemental druid or Trap Assasin
- Amazon can use 35% damage reduction vs Charge Paladin


Assassin

Definitions
In each definition, all terms must be met

Trap Assassin:
- Trap Assassin doesn't qualify as Hybrid Assassin

Hybrid Assassin:
- Hybrid Assassin does not use trap skill charms
- Hybrid Assassin uses claws with no more than +3 to lightning sentry each (example: +3 traps OR +3 lightning sentry, but not both stats on same claw)
- Maximum of 64% faster cast rate

General:

-58% Damage Reduction (Fade included)
-90% Runwalk IF Burst of Speed is used, if not 110%
-22 Replenish life allowed on assassins using traps

1v1 Rules:

- Assassin is not allowed to use "Burst of Speed" vs Melee Druid
- Assassin is not allowed to use "Mind Blast" vs Elemental Druid
- Assassin is not allowed to use "Shadow Warrior" or "Shadow Master" vs Elemental Druid
- Assassin is not allowed to use "Shadow Warrior" or "Shadow Master" vs Active Charge Paladin
- Assassin is not allowed to use "Psychic Hammer", "Shadow Warrior" or "Shadow Master" vs Orb Sorc and Lightning Sorc

Special:

-In Trap Assassin vs Trap Assassin maximum light resist is 85% +1 absorb
- Hybrid Assassin is allowed to use skill "Whirlwind" (1v1 and TvT)


Barbarian

General:

-58% Damage Reduction
-105% Runwalk
-30 Replenish life

Limited skills:

- Barbarian is not allowed to use skill "Leap"
- Whirlwind Lock is not allowed. If you make a ww lock by mistake, try to warn your opponent as fast as possible.

1v1 Rules:

- Barbarian can use max 45% damage reduction vs Barbarian
- In Barbarian vs Barbarian, maximum open wounds is 10%
- Barbarian is not allowed to use skill "Shout" vs Melee Druid
- Barbarian must have same Battle Orders and Battle Command level on both weapon switches vs Melee druid
- Barbarian is not allowed to use any open wounds % vs Melee Druid
- Barbarian can use max 45% damage reduction vs Melee Druids
- Barbarian is allowed to use 130% run/walk vs Sorceress
- Barbarian is allowed to use skill "Teleport" vs Sorceress, but can have only 20 replenish life if he chooses so. If Barbarian chooses not to use teleport, then Sorceress can have maximum of 40% block from gear vs barbarian.


Druid

Meele

General:

-Uses "Werebear" or "Werewolf"
-Damage Reduction: 58%
-Faster Run/Walk: 160%
-Life Replenish: 30
-Open Wounds: 35%, unlimitted vs Sorceress and Necromancer

Limited skills:

- Druid is not allowed to use Rabies

1v1 Rules:

- Melee Druid is not allowed to use Feral Rage vs Elemental Druid
- Melee Druid is not allowed to use Feral Rage vs Necromancer and maximum run allowed is 150%


Elemental

Definitions
In each definition, all terms must be met


- Elemental Druid doesn't use "Werebear" and "Werewolf"
- Elemental Druid has over 10 skill points in either "Tornado" or "Armageddon"
Note: Elemental Druid is not considered a cold damage dealer

General:

-Damage Reduction: 20%
-Faster Run/Walk: 150%
-Life Replenish: 30, 0 if using "Teleport"

1v1 Rules:

- Elemental Druid can use the skill "Teleport" vs Amazons, Necromancers, Assassins, Sorceress and
Paladins using Passive Charge and Elemental Druid.
- Elemental druid cannot use Hurricane vs Amazon
- Elemental Druid is not allowed to use wolves/bear vs Necromancer
- Elemental Druid is not allowed to use skill "Cyclone Armour" vs Sorceress
- Elemental druid can use 50% damage reduction vs Assassin using skill "Whirlwind"
- Elemental druid can use 50% damage reduction vs Barbarian
- Elemental Druid can choose to use 20% DR + Oak Sage or 50% DR + no Oak Sage vs Melee Druid
- Elemental Druid is limited to use 1 pet animal, 1 vine and 1 spirit (eg. Wolf + Poison Creeper + Oak Sage) vs Amazon


Necromancer

General:

-18% Damage Reduction
-110% Runwalk
-30% Replenish Life, 10 against Amazones

Limited skills:

- Clay Golem is not allowed

1v1 Rules:

- Necromancer is not allowed to use bone prison except vs other Necromancers
- Necromancer is not allowed to use "Decrepify" or "Iron Maiden" curse
- Necromancer is not allowed to use "Teeth" against Blizzard Sorcs
- In Necromancer vs Necromancers bone walls are not allowed
- Necromancer is not allowed to surround himself with bone walls or spam bone walls vs Barbarian.
- In Necromancer vs Melee Druid, bone walls are not allowed and maximum run allowed is 105%
- Necromancer is not allowed to surround himself with bone walls or spam bone walls
- There must be multiple entrances for opponent to reach Necromancer using Bone walls.


Paladin

Paladin Definitions:
Active Paladin = use of skill "Charge" only for direct attack with weapon < 200 max damage
Passive Paladin = Skill "Charge" is used for movement with weapon < 200 max damage
Charger Active Paladin = use of skill "Charge" only for direct attack with weapon >200 max damage (no ethereal weapons)
Charger Passive Paladin = Skill "Charge" is used for movement with weapon >200 max damage (no ethereal weapons)
Sorc can use 20% DR vs Charger Active Paladin and Charger Passive Paladin
Amazon can use 35% damage reduction vs Charger Active Paladin and Charger Passive Paladin

General Paladin rules (apply for both Active and Passive):

-Maximum "Prayer" level allowed: level 1 base (without items). Paladins with "Fist of Heavens" or "Conviction" are not allowed to use "Prayer", "Meditation" and "Cleansing" unless the Paladin does not have any form of "Prayer", from points in the skill or items

Limited skills

- - Paladin is not allowed to use auras that regenerates life vs Barbarian
- Paladin is not allowed to use skill "Charge" and "Vigor" vs Melee Druid
- Paladin using "Blessed Hammer" is not allowed to use aura "Concentration" vs Melee Druid
- Paladin is not allowed to use auras that regenerates life vs Melee Druid
- Holy Bolt is not allowed - Paladin using "Blessed Hammer" is not allowed to use aura "Concentration" vs Barbarian
- If paladin uses weapon over 200 max damage he becomes a Charge Paladin (Charge Paladin is not allowed to use ethereal weapons)
- Paladin is not allowed to use the skill "Smite" against Barbarians

- Paladin is not allowed to use ethereal shields
- Paladin is not allowed to use Charms with +defense

Active Charge

General:

-Damage Reduction: 35%
-Faster Run/Walk: 110%
-Life Replenish: 30

Limited skills:

-The use of the skill "Holy Bolt" and "Passive Charge" are banned

Passive Charge

General:

-28% Damage Reduction
-90% Runwalk
-22 Replenish Life

Limited skills:

- Paladin using Passive Charge is not allowed to use Vigor
- Paladin using Passive Charge is not allowed to use auras that regenerates life

1v1 Rules:

- In Paladin vs Paladin, lightning absorb is not allowed and max lightning resist is 75%.
Conviction aura is not allowed if both use "Fist of Heavens"
- Paladin using "Fist of Heavens" is not allowed to use Passive Charge vs cold Sorceress - Paladin using Passive Charge cannot use Holy Freeze vs Amazon
- Paladin is not allowed to use Passive Charge vs Barbarian
- Paladin is not allowed to use Passive Charge vs Necromancer


Sorceress

Definitons:
In each definition, all terms must be met

Orb Sorceress:
1) Orb Sorceress has maxed (20 skill points) "Frozen Orb"
2) Orb Sorceress has base level (1 skill point) "Blizzard"

Blizzard Sorceress:
1) Blizzard Sorceress uses "Blizzard"
2) Blizzard Sorceress does not use "Frozen Orb"

General:

-10% Damage Reduction
-75% Runwalk
-0 Replenish life (if using Energy Shield), 20 Replenish life (when not using Energy Shield)

Limited skills:

- Sorceress cannot use Chilling Armor with the exception of Orb Sorceress.
- Sorceress cannot use shield vs melee druid
- Blizzard Sorceress cannot use "Energy Shield" against Necromancers, all other elements can.

1v1 rules:

- Sorceress can use 20% damage reduction vs Charge Paladin
- Sorceress vs Sorceress is played in Nightmare difficulty
- Blizzard Sorc cannot use replenish life vs Trapsins
- Sorceress cannot use shield vs melee druid




Team vs Team Rules


Team vs Team rules (These rules apply for every form of TvT):

- Items giving auras when equipped are allowed in Team vs Team. Exception is runeword "Doom" which is banned
- Auras that regenerate life are only allowed vs team with char(s) using teleport
- Battle Orders/Battle Command from Call to Arms runeword is allowed in Team vs Team
- Both Meditation and Battle Orders together are not allowed to use in team with sorceress or teleporting druid.
Only one of them can be used in these teams
- Sorceress and Elemental Druid are not allowed to cast Battle Orders/Battle Command from Call to Arms runeword
- Teams with Barbarian and Elemental druid/Sorceress combination cannot use Shout and Barbarian must have same
Battle Orders and Battle Command level on both weapon switches
- Necromancer is not allowed to use bone prison except vs teams with Paladin using Passive Charge
- Elemental Druid is limited to use 1 pet animal, 1 vine and 1 spirit (eg. Bear + Poison Creeper + Oak Sage)
- Elemental Druid is not allowed to use Hurricane vs teams that include Amazon(s), except if it also has a Sorceress.
- In TvT Elemental Druids may not use the skill cyclone armour unless the opposing team has a paladin using the "Fist
of Heavens" skill or a trap assassin.
- Elemental Druids may not use the skill "Summon Grizzly Bear" in tvt.
- Maximum of 2 resistable elements (Fire, Cold, Lighting, Poison) elements may be used in a team that uses Conviction
- Maximum of 3 resistable elements (Fire, Cold, Lighting, Poison) elements may be used in a team that uses Lower Resists.
IF, and only IF Lower Resists is used, cold element counts as 2 resistable elements
- The use of auras that regenerates life count as 15 replenish life(includes all team members)
- Replenish life from Call to Arms doesnt count if its used ONLY for bo/bc)
- Hybrid Assasin as defined is allowed in Team vs Team duels


2 vs 2 Rules (These rules only apply in 2 vs 2 duels)

- Druid is not allowed to use Cyclone Armour vs Cold Sorceress
- Lower resist is not allowed to use together with passive charge Paladin using Conviction
- The curse "Decrepify" cannot be used.
- Ele druid is only allowed to use cyclone armour vs team with Assassin or Conviction + Fire or Lightning sorc.
- Necro + Ele druid may use maximum 2 of the 3 following: "Battle Orders", "Oak" or "Amplify Damage".


3 vs 3 Rules (These rules only apply in 3 vs 3 duels)

- In 3v3, teams including an Elemental Druid and a Necromancer must make a choice between the druid using the skill
"Oak Sage" or the Necromancer using the skill "Amplify Damage".



4 vs 4 Rules (These rules only apply in 4 vs 4 duels)

- In 4v4 Oak sage may not be used in teams with Barbarians in them.[/QUOTE]
