By my experience all top items not good in tour. When you lost with it even in final you really feel frustrated.
But if you play with mediocore staff + botd and win several dools you feel crazy power like you aow God! And you think something:" If I had better items, I would definitely win. Only top items helped my opponents"

i know aow isnt about the gear in all end, ofc gives some advantage.
