I agree with the decision the other moderators made. I did not realize the duel was nulled at the time he said he was ready to duel and dueled him anyway. Was my fault for not checking. I'm on four ladders so things get confusing sometimes

The rules are clear in that the duel should have taken place in 3 days and no extension was requested. We are trying not to bend the rules as rules are in place to keep order and structure. Bending rules lead to problems:
e.g. 1 Post 451 shows SirOmNomNom arguing that the duel should be nulled, in which he was correct. He may have tried to incorrectly challenge #2 but his intentions of trying to move up were clear and my challenge with eric_mcc was in the way.
e.g. 2 Post 468 shows DrObgyn challenging Eric_mcc because he saw that the duel was nulled.

According to the rules, my duel with Eric_mcc was considered nulled from Jun 7 2011 03:36am and therefore SirOmNomNom should have been free to challenge eric_mcc. Unfortunately, he challenged the wrong person, due to some misunderstandings of the rules, so his challenge does not go through. DrObygn correctly challenged eric_mcc.

I apologize for all this. I should have correctly seen that the duel was nulled (I have proof that it is not considered a dodge as I was on several time throughout the three days and eric_mcc was not on when he said he would be on) and not dueled him.

As a plus, please welcome DrObgyn as an additional ladder moderator. We now have four ladder moderators so hopefully future incidents like this won't happen as duels will be nulled right away. Please get in your results before the deadline or they will not count!

Please PM me with further questions on the rules if you have any as I will be the final ladder moderator to comment on this issue and with a unanimous decision, this issue will be lain to rest. I am a bit upset that eric_mcc chose to accuse this ladder of being biased towards grim members. If any of you happen to feel this way, please PM me and I will try to answer your questions/explain my actions in the most unbiased manner as I can. This ladder is meant to be fun and hope you all enjoy your duels as well as your climb to the top!

He could have just as easily said it was a dodge at the three day mark shown a s/s of his msg log challenging you even if there was further discussion. But with y'alls moderator system he would have been voted against. Yet if it were visa versa he would have had a dodge called on him.

Granted if there was such a problem with it anyone who does have a problem could merely leave the ladder. But the same could be said of America it's oe nof the best places to live but that does not mean it should not attempt to get better.

Sorry for being a self appointed hero of right and wrong but someone has to speak up or the quiet masses would go unrepresented.

If anyone wants to further discuss I would aim to not fill this thread with more spam pm me or maj or Trav.
