sounds fair imo, so like, if #10 goes on vacation hes removed fro mactive ladder and placed in a "vacation" list or w-e, then when he comes back he challenges if he wins he #10 if he loses he goes back to bottom?

That's a nice idea for a homologous ladder, but in an all-classes ladder it could also produce a situation where someone coming back from vacation is forced to challenge a hard counter build that he or she would typically try to work around, while not really changing anything about #7 challenging #3. It would look better on paper but I think it would cause more problems than it solves for this ladder.

damn its true though, idk if anything we can make like a limit on how long u can be afk for in top 5, then after times up u can be challenged etc

Hmm. I'm not saying I like the idea, but what if, after a grace period, challenging around moves the challenger ahead of the person on vacation even if he or she loses the duel?

It would kinda-sorta reward people for staying active and introduce a not-too-harsh disincentive for people who go on vacation. The person on vacation could lose spots, but not too quickly based on how long duels normally take to get resolved. Those people moving ahead after a loss would still in theory be pvpers the person on vacation could beat, and if not, they'd kinda deserve the spot anyway.

Still not implying I like this idea, but if we're brainstorming...

Nulling this in light of Easter weekend (sometimes things get busy)
But everyone need to be posting updates via cell phone or w/e it may be, updating why a challenge isn't being complete
It makes you both look inactive if you do not do so

About Vacation Status:
I see your point & concern about class advantage but consider that this is after all a *World Ladder*
You would have been competing against those classes anyway climbing from bottom to top
Being able to return and reclaim your prior ranking is certainly a shortcut past redueling (the dangerous builds bellow your prior ranking)

Either way, however this is handled, we need to clean up too many vacation status players holding solid ranks
I would say, players are allowed a greyed out vacation status for 3 days and beyond 3 days you are placed into a *vacation status* bracket
Past this, I'd like to see more input on how people want it handled

Big notifications so this ladder doesn't becoming so inactive/dead

Note: If both s/s's are not present in your victory post the duel will be a loss. You will have to re-challenge the user and go through all the steps. Please comply with this as it keeps the ladder a cleaner place for all gm duelers.

1) The 3 day dodge rule is strictly enforce, a dodge count will be added to the person challenged unless an extension is requested. (When posting a dodge mention it before the time to duel is over, and post a s/s of your pm to the user.
2) If you need an extension, PLEASE post that you need it so it will not be counted as a dodge.
3) If a user surpasses 2 dodges, he/she will be removed from the ladder.
4) If a user receives 2 consecutive dodges, he/she will be removed from the ladder.
5) If you are going to be on vacation for more than 2 weeks at a time, you will be removed from the ladder and will have to work your way back up.
6) If you were last seen 6 or more days ago, you will be removed from the ladder.
7) If you do not have PM access, you will be removed from the ladder.
8) If you would like to help update the ladder, please contact myself or one of the mediators/updaters.
9) Spam WILL NOT be tolerated here, pm each other if you have that big of a problem or go slam each other in a pub (Idgaf)
