Welcome to D2R's First Melee Tag Team Tournament!

To begin on April 29, 2023 at 9AM EST (Saturday) and end on May 7, 2023 at 9PM EST (the following Sunday).
This will give all teams 8 days to complete their duels.
I will be setting up deadlines that all teams must abide by to complete their first duel, their second duel, third duel, etc. This will be announced later. (For example, your first duel must be completed by Tuesday, second by Thursday, etc.). This will be to ensure that the tourney as a whole is moving along and a single team isn't holding other teams back.

This is a single-elimination tournament and free to join for all gm melee community members.

To be added, please your d2jsp name, character name, and melee class of you and your partner. Your partner must verify their participation your team in this thread. Come up with a fun team name & post it here please. This will be the name that appears on your trophy!
Teams may not have two of the same class (i.e., Zeal & Zeal, Fury & Fury).We deeply appreciate tips to the prize pool.
If there is drama between teams, the co-hosts will address it and figure out the best course of action.
Brackets will be randomly seeded like usual.Rules (basically all standard GM melee rules that we all know now, I will put the obvious ones below).
Prohibitions* Do not commit acts of bad manner.
* Do not intentionally angle.
* Do not prebuff.
* Do not use poison.
* Do not use slow.
* Do not enchant.
* Do not smite.
* Do not charge.
* Do not jump.
* Do not pot.
* Do not run.
* Do not knockback.
* Do not use items or sages that emit auras which affect player vs. player (PVP) and cause physical and/or elemental damage. (see exception below about
ZPK style duels.)
* Do not emit the holy freeze aura.
* Do not cast item/torch charges.

Weapons* Any weapon with more than 300 total elemental damage
* Any weapon that casts an elemental skill over Level 5 (exception is Death when doing
ZPK style duels)
* Any weapon that casts amplify curses ( same with any armor )
* Any weapon that is breakable without replenish durability / Zod rune.
Armors* Any armor that casts slow or elemental skill over Level 5 - Fortitude is an exception (Must clear Chilling Armor after every match if not doing
ZPK style)
* Any ethereal armor with no repair mod or Zod rune (breakable armor)
Special Mention* Want to do ZPK style duels? If your teammate and the opposing team all agree, then it is permitted. If you're not familiar with ZPK, feel free to ask around. It means Death runeword is allowed (for fury AND paladin AND barb), Phoenix is allowed, and CA is not cleared throughout the match. If your opposing team disagrees to ZPK, do not incite drama, just accept it and move on, please! A general rule of thumb is, join expecting not every team wants to do ZPK. Some people may decline.* Starting Duel - Both must Shift/Attack (Swing to Go)
* Poison damage on weapons up to 100 allowed
* Did you misclick? Continue fighting
* Glitched strength? Auto DQ will result if you die and can't pick up gear
* Chilling Armor - Must not be on prior to a duel, Referee to kill off surviving player with chilling armor (unless doing
ZPK style duels)
* Holy Shield - Do not cast Holy Shield prior to gear change. If you cast HS and change gear, you need to be killed off so you can recast HS
* Run into the duel on accident? Redo if desired by opponent. If opponent is OK with it, then count the duel. Running several times can result in a DQ.
* Draws - If neither player survives a walk back to town, counts as a draw. No point awarded to either player
* Exile - Exile can't be used in these duels given that other classes will be your opponent and cannot use Exile. Phoenix is allowed only if
ZPK style duels have been agreed upon beforehand
* Inner Sight - Amazons may only use Inner Sight in this tournament if they are paired with a Conc Barb. Jabbers & Concs unite!
* You may not borrow rare/crafted items for this tournament - period. No exceptions. If you need to borrow something like a Death for ZPK style duels, that is fine.Dueling Format➜ A match will be best 2/3 sets, first to 6 must win each set by 2 duels.
➜ Your team must be hostiled toward the other team, and you may not be partied with your teammate to prevent auras/Oaks from being shared.
➜ SetB style duels. Before a challenge begins, huddle in the Inner Cloister and do a FFA until one person/team remains. Whoever lost must publicly announce to their opponents who they are sending out to fight for the first duel. After this, the last team to lose a duel must always choose who they send out to fight first before the other team.
➜ You can't heal in the middle of these duels, and there is no gear changing in the middle of the duel. You may gear change, however, twice during a set (in between duels) and once in between each set. No tokens during a match.
