basically the tgods works like this. say you get hit with an 800dmg cb. the 800 is first subjected to pvp penalty of 1/6 so it now hits u for 133dmg. which is further reduced by 85 lr to 20dmg. +20 absorb then subtracts 20 from this number, and adds 20 to your life. so you are hit with 0 dmg, and have 20 life added. That's why cb heals you with tgods on.
but with lightning say you hit someone for 25k dmg. this will turn into 585 dmg with tgods, compared to 416 if you had 15 max resist. so tgods =/= spurs.
