To be honest, it's not so much about meditation being over powered as much as it promotes defensive play. I don't really care either way to be honest, but that's the way I would look at it.
The charges thing has to remain "if both players agree", can't just allow charges all the time. Also, why is oak any different than let's say life tap charges on a barb or lower res charges on an elemental damage character?
I disagree, people are going to have a dueling attitude regardless of Medi. You can play over defensive with rep alone, Druids can manipulate rep with unsummon. There's plenty of healing in the meta outside of Medi. For me, Medi would make me less defensive by reducing the amount of time I'm waiting to feel comfortable to restomp when HP remaining warrants playing defensive. Good players die from you stomping. Serious duels warrant defensive play from both sides. This whole "off your opponents screen for x sides is BM" mindset some of the community is mind boggling. ANYONE competent will make use of rep for tournaments/ladders/whatever competitive environment. Not to mention how diluted Hdin is under the general east rule set. Let me point out that 3/4 FPK classes are better equipped to deal with the hdin playing defensive (trap/MB range necro missile range, druid stack).
