You're right. I agree especially since I switched from Wrangler Jean's to Levis Denim. The only problem is the 511s don't work for me. Unfortunately, my hips don't lie. I decided to go with the 505... À lot more flexibility and functionality with the extra pocket inside the pocket.

Needless to say, things are on the come up for me

I prefer the 501’s myself.

I don't even consider buying pants unless they have a hammer loop.

You get to à certain point in life and it becomes function > fashion.

I carry a 20 ounce estwing rip claw everywhere I go

Personally I prefer the hammer multi tool, as you said function>fashion

Wow this is something I never tried before.

Not sure if I would respect it as a hammer though. Not enough leverage. Personally I recommend the 20 ounce estwing rip claw. It's a one piece steel frame so you know it's going to have some longevity.

If I could carry a 28 ounce milled face estwing I absolutely would... But at that weight I start losing the ability to make swift pivots, and it creates an imbalance on my right side.

Also I don't think I've ever seen 501 Levi Denim with hammer loop so it wouldn't even be considered for to day purposes.

Let me know about your multi tool hammer thx

I have a 23 oz waffle head estwing and also a 16 oz stiletto but my EDC is the multitool hammer. The multi tool hammer is great because it fits in a pocket (concealed carry) and is also small enough for tactical throws. The knife on it is great for shucking oysters and I’ve been able to make use of the pliers for various things like torquing down lug-nuts, picking trash up from the ground and I even fixed a leaking toilet at the local McDonald’s with it. You could say I’m a bit of a local super hero

Also when one needs a heavier hammer you just pickup something heavy with the pliers and presto, you’ve now got a mini-sledge

I really like your hammer selection with the estwing and stiletto. It's important to invest in a proper hammer as they make great heirlooms.

In regards to the multi tool hammer I'm really impressed with what you were able to accomplish with this size factor. I think I will go purchase this exact model you have posted. It would really free up some weight not having to carry my 20 ounce estwing rip claw, pair of 12 inch channellock, and needle nose. Scoliosis is a bitch.

By the way, what you did at McDonald's bathroom is really admirable. We need more people like you to keep the bathrooms serviceable for junky like

Them little 22oz hickory curved handle are the best hammer IMO. 28 oz estwing is okay.

Im used to hammering 10 or 12 inch spikes though. Smallest nail being a 60 penny. A cut 8lb sledge is best though

The hickory handles are to be respected without a doubt.

8lb sledge is a nice hammer. Do you have hammer loop on pants?
