Eh it's really the only way to start a ladder though. Every ladder i've been on / started has to start out like this.

IMO the best way to start it accurately would be to have a vs all tourney where everyone duels everyone 1 time ft6 and do brackets by points a win = 1 point the only way to get it accurate right off the bat IMO

Yeah that's another option and I was thinking that would be the only way to get it right at the beginning. But it does get how it should be after a week or two. Besides it's always fun being at the bottom and just making your way up to #1.

i dont mind how we start it off.

So want me to stop all pending duels for now and find a date for the tourny to start us off?

It's hard to get people on at the same time. While this sounds like a good idea, actually doing it will be quite difficult. Also, what would you do with people who haven't yet signed up? Why don't they get the same chance as the first few people?

The way it is now is perfectly fair. Everyone knows these aren't true rankings based on duels, so it doesn't really matter anyway.

there are 85+ people on the active melee list, there is no way we could get them all there, and then people who join later dont get that chance

even if we somehow did get all those people to show, it would be a ridiculous tourny to try and organize with that many people and take days.

this is really the only feasible way to start off a ladder, and how it has always been done
