U. S. East Ladder GM Melee Ladder

<Challenge System: Please Read Before Issuing A New Challenge>

(1) Have fun!! (No Rage, Drama, BM, or Bullshit. You will be removed/banned if there are multiple complaints about you)
(2) If you wish to join, simply post your Jsp Name/D2 Acct/Char Name - Type of Char (Example: Vrael/Fizzle/Fizzle - Zealer)
(3) You're allowed to challenge up to 2 ranks above you until you get to #3 then you must duel everybody to get to #1 (Example, #5 can challenge #3, #4 has to challenge #3, #2, then #1)
(4) To issue a challenge, first PM the person you wish to duel, then post here. (Format: Challenging #2 Vrael/Fizzle/Fizzle - Zealer. Pm'd.)
(5a) Challenge Issuer: If you win, you must wait 12 hours after completing the challenge before you can issue another challenge.
(5b) If you lose, you must wait 48 hours after completing the challenge before you can challenge that same user, however you can challenge someone else, provided you are allowed to challenge them per these rules.
(6a) Challenged Individual: If you defend your position, you don't have to wait to issue another challenge, provided you aren't waiting on another challenge timer to run out.
(6b) If you lose your position, you must wait 48 hours after completing the challenge before you can challenge that same user, however, you can challenge someone else, provided you are allowed to challenge them per these rules.
(7) 2-Day Dodge rule (AFK, No-reply, No-show = Auto-loss) 2 consecutive Dodges = Removed from ladder. * = symbol for 1 dodge.
(8) If you cannot complete your challenge on time it is your responsibility to PM your challenger to inform them and then post in thread asking for an extension. If you fail to do this Dodge Rule will be enforced. (extensions can go out as far as 2 days from the time you request it.)

<1> GM Melee Rules apply to all duels See Page 1 for all rules, here are a few important ones.
<2> Challenges will take place in Nightmare, Inner Cloister. They will be best 2 out of 3 sets, first to six, must win each set by 2 Duels (Example: set 1: 6/4, set 2: 3/6, set 3: 12/10)
<3> You may change gear 1 time during each Set and 1 time between each Set. You must tell your opponent when you're going to change gear, you don't have to tell them what you are changing though.
<4> If both players die it is a draw.
<5> Post challenge results here immediately after duel completion to ensure challenge timers are accurate.

Do your best to communicate with your challenger and set a time to duel immediately upon receiving your PM challenge.
Track this topic so you can have easy access to it. I will try to update the topic at least once every 10 posts or 3 challenges.

what's the purpose of this ladder exactly?

it seems so much more efficient to just post how much fg you spent on gear and cut out the middle man (aka failing to comprehend why dueling(the engima) has made this game still relevant for so many years)?
