Outside looking in, this is how i see it, explained even simpler than how Jupe explained it.
rd 5 had 4 people remaining, but because Scott dueled twice, he gets a bye to round 6
now in round 5, 3 people remained, so the person with the best record gets a bye.
so that left GotKush and eraCer.
move on to round 6, where we are.
3 people again.
the best record gets a bye to round 7.
this is JUPE.
end of story.
EDIT:
and scott, regardless of dueling twice, jupe defeated you BEFORE your second duel which eliminated Rolex. you would be at a 3-1 record, and still lower.
i was 3-0 before dueling people twice, thats why I dueled twice. I was in first with most +
let me explain this.
there were an odd ammount of people, and I was in first. Rather than taking the bye, i suggested to Joey having first place (me) duel twice and sit out the following round rather than somebody sitting out.
Since this policy had been put in place, it
should apply for the rest of the tournament.. meaning Jupe would duel both Racer and Kush in round 5, and I get a bye.
Kush should never have faced Race in the first place, but that policy was abandonded.
which Means I don't get the bye,
which means there are 4 people at the start of round 5
which means that I'm facing Jay.
it doesn't make ANY sense for jay to sit out 2 rounds in a row in first while I dueled twice in 1 round in first.
I was undefeated at the time as well.
This means for me to win the tournament, I have to complete 8 duels.
For jay to win he has to complete 5.
This is fair? lol
If a policy is applied to first place at one point in the tournament it should apply to first place for the WHOLE tournament, not just one round.
