Webbynator, for Melee only typically one player starts on one end, and another starts on another end and typically the players alternate positions between duels. this was not clearly stated in the rules but is common practice. I appreciate that you might not have been aware of this.

If things need to be explicitly written then you should also say exactly how the duel is to be performed.

For example, what is stopping someone from running all around the bloodmoor halfway through the battle with 22liferep until they are back to full health to continue slapping?

Or, for that matter, they could run around all of act1 leeching life from monsters when they're close to death from the duel.

Would rabies be allowed in the melee tournament since it's not explicitly restricted? Someone could bite-and-run, bite-and-run,according to the rules of this melee tournament.

Of course people would agree none of this should be allowed in melee duels. Just because it's not explicitly stated doesn't mean it's not an understood rule.


I'm sorry if this comes off as confrontational, I am just trying to prove a point here. I know you are trying to be as fair as possible with explicit rules, but I'm saying it will be hard to have everything explicitly written down because many things are just common sense that should not have to be written.
