As for Oak. It should either be allowed or not allowed all together in the entirety; not match up specific. In my opinion, the rules evolved organically in such a way that its pretty much become widely accepted. Prior to my retirement, the use of charges was considered BM. When I returned however, oak and cube buffing is now considered GM. I didn't like it at first, but have grown to see its value. For example, without oak, certain match ups can be pretty lame (i.e., Hammer vs Hammer = joderfest). Oak also gives a lot of classes a better chance in an otherwise disadvantaged match up. My vote is oak = gm (except in NVN).
