Unfortunately because some toxic players in the general area of public Diablo 2 Realms have many connection to Guilds on d2jsp.org, Discords, and more those "stories" and people surroundings them can continue to haunt you or play a roll in someone entertainment.

Skill level is very important in Godly Pvp duels. Basically before I started Dueling I was a PVM Master. Did the legit baal grind every night. Main sorc. Bla bla bla. Then one day I randomly joined a duel game. I then found myself adding damage as a necessity in duels.

A few months later a PvP Clan recruited me out of public duels. They slammed me with 3 100% perfect PCOAs, Amulets worth 8k+ fg, and more. 9x 45 lifers on any character I wanted. I literally knew next to nothing about Pvp, strategy or whatever and a few months later I knew the ins and outs of Diablo 2. It was a really fun time but I would never do it like that again. Lucky I was a kiddo heh.

I have a much nicer time pking with people who are about the pks and nothing else really. If all else fails sometimes I join games and mute everyone. Then it really is just about pks.

But if people can't act like adults especially about personal or semi personal stuff from years prior then they most likely lack empathy or have that hivemind mentality. It's kind of sad but at some point things stop becoming trolly.
