I would agree with making this the rule

something like this should be stated :

any character you sign up will be the character you use unless restarting from the bottom of the ladder
this applies to any item swaps that turn your character into a different build (examples: grief on hdin (vanq), chaos on a trapper, kicker, etc., ebay claws on trapper for dclaw, the list goes on)

I think there's too many rules now involved in this . If your in a class vs all ladder just be prepared to duel anything almost

should allow full gear swaps and stat respecs but no skill respecs

only exceptions being sins can't use a chaos unless signed up as a hybrid

and hybrid sins must have a chaos equipped at all times

edit one more exception

hard statting mb for a specific matchup shouldnt be allowed, if you wanna rock mb you'd better have the stash/gear for it

You shouldnt be allowed to change your character to give your self an advantage depending on who you're dueling. You should use the character that you were confident enough to sign up on.

What if a hdin has tokens to respec between max block and full vita depending on what its dueling. That's like 600 life difference sometimes. Same hdin could also use a grief and just charge pk any no block character without casting a single hammer. Some of the richer necros could restat every duel to have a nvn spec, max block spec etc and just destroy a less fortunate barb or nec just because of that respec

i agree the only three things that seem to bother people the most is and the only issues i think need to be addressed are

changing your skills while signed up
hard statting max block
sins and chaos

my recommendation addresses all 3

switching between hard statting mb / going pure vita shouldn't be allowed i agree

allowing people to restat just to be able to upgrades they bought should be allowed though, say new rings, circ, amulet etc

respecing to change stat points is allowed, changing skills however is not allowed. this is only to redistribute points into str/life based on gear changes

cannot change char type. if it is altered, you must restart from the bottom. you're skills aren't allowed to be altered in any way

respecing to change from vita to mb is not allowed. Base dex mb setups are more than welcome.


As far as the hybrid sin issue goes, I agree with you. Hybrid sin relies heavily on the combination of ww and traps. Therefore making it a requirement to have ww at all time.
