We're putting too much classification on something that cannot be defined, like the mechanics of this game and match-ups.
It's like the world we live in cannot be defined, but just understood.
This world we live in, including this game is like a big DMT trip, you cannot begin to understand it, but just live.
A good sin / barb etc could destroy an Exile Smiter.
I don't agree with juvs, not saying go, etc, that's just being a commonly good person and should be inside of all of us spiritually.
However, saying someone cannot use more than 85% res but you're sitting there camping with traps + summon + mb and wwing away when they get near and using corners does not mean you have the right to put sanctions on other characters when you're doing that just for your own gain.
One person incites a GM rule, 10 people push it to be "official" because of their own interests, it's like lobbying for pepsi/cola.
These rules are corrupt, and they make no apparent sense.
It's like if an Hdin were to say "you can't use enigma because it makes it much easier to escape from me and it's too op"
In reality, having 90 res isn't OP, and if you're playing a Hybrid, then you can't say "You can't have 90 res" because then that's unfair for that person who you're putting sanctions on, and you know it's just for your own interest, not to better the PvP community.
I believe letting people have 7k mana but not use exile is a little brash.
I believe l8z dueling for pride with rules that favor the l8z duelists are brash.
The game was made for a reason, it should be "make a character and play style undefeatable no matter what gear they wear"
These are my personal utopian GM rules:
No Juves
No town
Say go
NO MODS/hacks/etc
No s/e
Rest is up to you to figure out, limiting a game is basically like saying you can't use that 10,000 dollar performance golf club because you're white, I can, however, because I'm black.
You can't do this but I can do that.
To me a truly great build/ player can overcome this, and that's the true skill in this game, to be able to overcome people no matter what they wear, and if that's not your fancy, then play a different char class, don't complain or try to rationalize to make it easier on the fact that that char class sucks overall and you should play another char.
It's like if someone was tall at basketball, and I was short, and I said "Oh well you have to play with one hand because you're taller" that's life, if your char class sucks vs a specific char class, how can you possibly try to nerf the other char class, and most oddly of all, how could you possibly be cocky enough to think that your theory on that nerfing you're doing is exactly 100% fair and would correlate with a directly fair match, there's no way for you to know this, so this leads to the conclusion that if you THINK you know something, then you're an asshole.
If you want to lead people, then you're probably an asshole, much like a president/ politician.
One of the greatest quotes I've heard was from my friend Dennis McKenna (brother of Terrence McKenna), and after being asked on a podcast after all of these years of science and writing books, and all of the knowledge, what he concluded in life. And he said "That I know nothing! I know absolutely nothing, about anything in life" this goes true with theories and placing definitions on things including GM rules.
What we do know, however, is the spirit of love, that vibration you feel -karma- that essence known as love, that feel inside of ourselves that we think we know as love.
Jumping someone isn't love.
Leaving out of a match (s/e or town) knowing you lost is not love.
Using Juves is not love.
What I'm trying to say is that there is no way to know through all of these variables of character builds and advantage over disadvantage to a definition, the only way we can define this friendly competition is by who can slay who, and do it in a good mannered way without being an asshole.
So basically what you are trying to say is that you have no idea on why the mechanics of the game and the way gm rules have been designed over the progress of Diablo 3 by multiple sources have been made. The gm rule list has been vetted time and time again by top duelists around diablo 2. Every realm has a few differences based on leagues and preferences and if you want to be a gm dueler you follow the rules. Just because you believe yourself that 1 rule far benefits everyone else proves that you have the intelligence of a fucking squirrel. Now either learn to play the game in gm groups the way EVERYONE else does or go continue your mental retardation and handicap somewhere in pubs where you and your brethren can smash into each other wearing helmets and hopefully not destroy the very last of your brain cells. That is all.
