Looks correct.

Godliveswithus beat Soldier in the upper bracket, so that means soldier has to beat Godliveswithus twice coming from the lower bracket.

This guy gets it. Although, it doesn't matter if they dueled in the upper bracket or not. Loser's bracket winner always has to win twice in order to win the tourney.

The reason it's 2x ft10 because Gosliveswithus beat Soldier before in upper bracket.
It's confusing, if they never dueled in upper bracket it would have been one ft10.

Unless you're referring to some special format, this isn't entirely correct. Loser's bracket winner always has to win twice to win tourney in pure double elim.

Bottom line, it doesn't matter which way you spin it, soldier1111 must win 2x FT10. Gods only has to win 1xFT10 to win tournament.

I have been running double elimination tournaments for years, challonge works that way, if you lose to that person you have to beat him twice to get rank 1.

Example my GM Zeal tournament, Xury had to vs Bmx only once because they never vs each other in upper bracket.

That's obvious, Xury was the winner of the winner's bracket. We're not concerned about Xury or Gods, winner of winner's bracket only have to win one series in the grand finals to win the tournament, no matter what.
More importantly, how many times would BMX have had to win in order to win the tournament though?
If you say 1, then you're using the modified challonge double elimination grand finals rules.

Just to clarify, I have no biases or am trying to prolong/rig this tournament in any way. I am just trying to maintain the integrity of this tournament the best I can by following the double elimination structure exactly.
This rule was clearly stated in the final rendition of the tournament rules, which were posted on the events page, challonge page, and post #67 in this thread back in October before the tournament started.
So we shouldn't even be having this conversation right now because if you had concerns/questions about the rule set you should have asked them back in October. (Now I know who didn't fully read the rules, naughty naughty) ;)

soldiers1111 has already graciously stated he's game for whatever so no further discussion is needed.

However, the only reason I am so adamant of explaining this idea of "bracket reset" to you guys is because I believe that not everyone understands how Double Elimination works.
Any future double elimination tournaments I host will only say "double elimination format", the part about "losers bracket winner must win twice" will be implied.
The way I run my tournament is the most STANDARD rule set of double elimination. I have seen tournaments where double elimination was applied incorrectly in the past (or the rules were modified, but not specifically stated) and I just want to help everyone avoid that.
This is so if you decide to host or join a double elimination tournament in the future, whatever it may be (BvB, Zeal, etc), you know the exact rule set for that tournament structure so that no one gets shafted. I'm all for higher quality tournies.
Higher Quality Tournaments = Better Tournaments = More People Participating = More Fun!

If you are still confused or have questions/comments about this, please please please shoot me a PM and we can talk about it further in detail. I am happy to be of any assistance.

!!!!MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!!
Thank you all for participating in my tournament. The turn out was great and I just want to thank you guys for making it go smoothly. We had a hiccup here or there, but overall, it was a fantastic tournament if I do say so myself.
It was a joy to host (wish I could have got a trophy though, DAMN you Weapons for knocking me out! :fume: :P ), and I look forward to seeing you guys joining my future tournaments.
Please refer to my signature for the next tournaments that are set to start on New Years Day.

Best of luck to the final two and thanks everyone again! :)
