i've seen other svs rulesets that specify a cap of 55 single res from scs. and i've also chatted with some svs folks who go by such rules. what does everyone go by in here?

10x 20/5 = 50
4x 20/11+1 20/5 +5x 20/17 =49
5x 20/10 + 5x 20/17 =50

+torch and anni for 89 or 90 totaled from the inventory

50 is what ive always used, why you would ever try for 5 extra res is kinda dumb. only way i can see it being decent is 2x 20/5 + 4x 20/10 + 3x20/17 and even then its kinda retarded to have to get those specific res charms which you wont use on anything else ever.

i do not used duped gear. extra lr from scs is relevant vs fire because of thunderstorm. 55fr/lr is relevant vs fire/light because it potentially makes gearing easier (e.g. means ammy/rings can be slightly less gg).

my char is already complete but if 55res from scs is allowed then i have potential upgrades to make.

Pretty sure its been 50 and will stay 50. nl svs is kinda biased in that area. I have no issue with it, but doesnt this mean to use 20/5's you have to drop a gc?

you shouldnt need the 5 res tbh. it doesnt take amazing stuff to get the resistances to svs

185-250 fire
200-250 light
399 or 450 cold

heres what most people average on the ladder. this doesnt go for everyone some have less/more resists aside cold which is basically always the same.

why would anyone need more than 185 fr or lr, given that no one uses facets?

The updated rules allow 55res.

Resistances and Absorb:
You may only stack up to 450 cold resistance.
You may not use absorb over 20%.
You may only use one item of absorb.
You may not obtain overall max resistance of over 85% OR 80/20 ( Dwarf/vex). EXCEPTION Wisp/Lo are not allowed
You may use each type of absorb or max resistance at the same time. (example: tgod + infernostrides + ravenfrost)

some people use more res. its an option for svs. kinda like the inventory sets i described. you could use tals if you wanted. all options.

when did this happen...? aaron needs to stop changing rules especially when he isnt even on the ladder lol
50 was max because the ladder is already lopsided for fire and light. anything more makes cold sorcs obsolete. 5 aint a huge deal but still lol.

if any moderators or updaters want to change rules, you have to get other moderators or updaters approval/vote on it.
