Yes, as I stated in screenshot, that losing first round match will bring you to consolation.

Consolation is a separate bracket for those that got eliminated on their first round match.

this is what i was sayin..
make losers bracket to fight it out for those two bye spots

this would solve a lot of potential issues in general tournament matching

so lets say if best two players in vtpk, matty and me obviously, are unfortunate enough to get paired up against each other it gives the loser the opportunity to fight his way back for theier well-deserved second or third place or whatever without going out on first round

No, it would be additional 4 matches, before we can start our second round matches, which is even more complicated with times and prizes.

Either way that’s not how tournaments run, and what’s wrong with us having byes? to make things less complicated
