Because there has to be challenge to this ladder or its not worth the time of day.

I will say mana pots on an es are a little overkill. Maybe there should be a rule limiting the amount of pots used. if the limit was 4 it would be easy. just have them fill there belt and unequip/re-equip there belt. But im sure there will be complaints that 4 isnt enough. and pots on the moor from clearing would also make it more difficult to be sure theres no one cheating the system.

Regardless, no one is gonna agree 100% no matter what the rules. At present outside the es issue everything is even. even cold is fair, if anything forcing fire/light to use 105 vs cold would even it up. Even that is asking a lot considering its fully possible to win 105C vs 200F/L.

It all comes down to skill at this point. If you feel someone is cheating make it known to an admin of the ladder and go about your business. No one likes to lose, but its part of the game, deal with it.

I disagree. If the light or fire sorc tanks same # of ib or blizzard hits as the cold sorc tanks fb or light, then the fb or light has a huge advantage. Blizz hits maybe 50% on NLs, and IB is so slow that an fb can get 2 or 3 fbs to the 1 IB in any given standoff

ib has same cast rate as FBall fbolt will out cast it however

honestly though unless probaby comes back with his rediculous "Stack" i think we are fine

Yeah and it's impossible for a blizz sorc to be 200 fcr since the only viable option is fathom or rare orb with 20 fcr. So, that argument would fly for me in a 117 light vs 200 fcr fb debate but to say that's an acceptable point in cold vs 200 fire is just ignorance

well if you can't beat the Es you may as well complain.

Even 105 ES vs 105 cold, ib travels slower and still get 2 to 1 hits

I had no issues beating 95% of the Es who ever joined here.

The only three that I can recall in 6+ years have been vin, and I never actually dueled legen. And lastly skibum was boss on an Es sorc.

Besides those 3, I have found everyone else not much of a challenge at all.


It's not the rules or the matchup, besides cold vs Es. It's the user.


I do believe allowing Es sorcs to stack up to 250 or 300 cold resistance is fair.
