All that is crap because they do not take into consideration what Tatctics/Skills are Needed/Known by a certain idividual that is dueling one of your stated Builds. Whatever build of Barb you make, you must know how to prepare and how to duel your advisary. You can always adjust things on your Barb to better your chances of winning, but know this-Nothing guarantees you wins at any given time against any decent BvB.

Here is the hit % table based on AR and DEF (assuming you are both same lvl) lvl gap will make 1% hit differance per lvl

Now let's factor in the dmg calculations "on avg"

AVG grief dmg is usually around 1.2k - 1.5k for max dmg and 1k - 1.2k for mastery ed build (could be off a little but for the sake of argument these figures are close with all of the penalties)

after all of the DR and pvp penalties you will do approx 200 - 300 more dmg per hit with a balanced max dmg barb vs an all out mastery ed barb.

Now if you are dueling a barb with 35k def or close to it.... and you have 22k - 23k ar your hit ratio is approx 39% - 41% give and take a few here and there.

If you are dueling in the worst of the situation let's just say 21k ar with 33k def drac vita barb... with low ass dmg due to going all out vita... using all 3 20 20 he is hitting around 36% - 37% depending on what the def of the opponent bvb is (35k - 38k)

If you are a mastery build with low dmg and high ar and def (lets say 22.5kar with 38kdef) James and Billbo... they would be hitting you between 40% - 41% and the vita barb has around 1k more life (taking the 5.5k life vs 6.5k life build)

If you build a well balanced barb with 6.4k life with gg dmg and lets say 34.5kdef with 21.5k ar... against the 23kar with 38kdef and 5.5klife... you are looking at hitting ~36% (for max dmg balanced barb) vs. 40% (for mastery ed build). So your chance to hit with that much ar and hit avoidance with the high def buys you ~4% of additional hit chance...

It is mathematically improbable that this build can win in the long run given all things equal. Now add CB, OW (gives the advantage to barbs with more life), crit strike which are all multipliers of dmg ... it gives even more advantage when these strike... more so to the balanced dmg barb over the ed barb with lower dmg and lower life.

Now I do not dispute that James and Billbo has a gg build, because they do. But my rhetorical comment is made in light of the fact that they are kicking ass and doing great... and poking fun at the rest of us.

But to each their own build. We can not all have the same build which is why when you do "perfect" your build against other barbs... it usually comes down to the last hit or two. So the differentiating factor is really the charm set up and the jewels. Which is why I do not dupe my jewels. Takes all of the fun out of this game.

You guys can calculate whatever the fuck you want, but nothing is certain in this game.

Melee in general is fucked. Now ww isn't exaclty melee, it's considered a ranged attack, but it's still melee in a sense with the attack rating vs defense calculations.

All that shit goes out the window with blizzard though. I've smashed 35-38k defense builds with 14-17k ar.

You guys are missing THE MOST IMPORTANT factor: LUCK. No matter how much you "perfect your build" or calculate your attack rating/defense, it's blizzard that determines who hits, when they hit, and how hard.

Nothing is certain, nobody can win all the time. The biggest advantage anybody has is being a higher level, and that advantage is often overlooked and overcome in bvb as well.

JSong vs Kahn and OG vs oM is Dec 31st .. not Dec 30th...

get it right !!
