People over rate def ar build
I had 38k build with 23k ar over a year ago
tested up a storm and even tested with Garret an eth sacred fort giving me 45k def
using masteries and gg sc's with 23k ar with 5.7k life
def/ar is not the new cookie cutter build
the reason why these guys are winning is not the def ar
its that all you niglets can't make a decent balanced barb and I am stick with shit connection

I can already hear rant coming my way.

like I said gears and charms are 50% and the rest are stays and ww style
From what I have tested and calculated, Mastery Barb with 23K ar is a tough cookie.
Followings were my test result:
test: 5.2K Mastery barb@lvl96 vs. 6.0K EBA Max barb of same lvl (I know most of you have way higher life, but it is just a reference)
hypothesis: If formula given by Blizzard is correct, there should be about 1~2 hits difference btwn two tests, and max dmg should win due to higher life.
Results(all the results were calculated to average):
With Max Vita Build using EBA(198% unperm), you need to hit em on average of 6 times to kill 5.2k barb.
With Mastery Barb, they need to hit about 8 times to kill 6k barb.
As long as Max build get hit one more time than his landed hits or better, Max always won.
However, Max/Vita could NOT accomplish this when ar was below 22.5K. (meaning Max/Vita gets hit 2+ times more than # of landed hits) I would put it at about 40~45% to 55~60%.
Therefore, fine mixture of Max/ Ar / Def / Vita must be well balanced if pure Vita/Max was to have good consistent success against Def/Ar build.
I know that I did NOT have all the perfect gears like Jim to fully test out results, but lvl being same, I do believe pure vita(37x3/20/20) is not superior over Mastery builds, NOR do I believe Mastery build is superior over Vita.
All being the same(same lvl, perfect gear, etc...), it is anyone's game.
There are so many outside factors such as CB, DS, OW, etc., and no one build has over 10% advantage over another. Ofc, someone can argue that 10% is a huge factor... but common, some people always hit that three outer on the river in Poker right?
