If y'all wanna take a vote to decide if we should allow winners to challenge immediately after winning under any circumstance, here's your chance.
Here's my view on the matter:
Case 1: You are in 5th place, and you challenge someone in 3rd place. In this situation you should wait 12 hours before challenging #2, to allow #4 the chance to challenge you.
Case 2: You are in 6th place, and you challenge someone in 4th place. In this situation you are not skipping anyone that will be able to challenge you once you finish the duel, and therefore you should be allowed to challenge whomever you like.

Short version (for BeSh): If you win against someone right above you in rank, you should be able to challenge again right afterward. If you are dueling 2 spots above you, you have to give the person you just skipped the chance to challenge you before placing your next challenge (12 hours)
Refer to the bottom of the post for the official wording of the vote.

<Challenging>

1) You are allowed to challenge up to 2 ranks above you until you get to #3 then you must duel #2, then #1.
2) You must PM the other party about the challenge FIRST then post challenge in this topic.
3) Challenge will be best 2/3 sets. The winner of each set will be the first to six. You must win each set by atleast 2 duels.
4) All GM Melee Rules apply (as can be viewed in post #106 of this thread)
5) If you issued the Challenge you must wait 12 hours after it's completion to issue another Challenge.
6) If you lose a Challenge you must wait 48 Hours to re-challenge the same person.
7) 3-Day Dodge Rule (Afk, no-reply, no-show = auto-loss) 2 consecutive "dodges" = removed from Ladder.
8) If you cannot complete your Challenge on time it is your responsibility to PM your Challenger to inform them.
Once you've informed them, post in this Topic and ask for an extension. If you fail to do this Dodge Rule will be enforced.
¥ annotates a single dodge

Calling a vote:
Pick the letter that best describes how you feel about the issuing of challenges:
A. You should always have to wait 12 hours after finishing a challenge to challenge someone else.
B. As long as you are dueling everyone in your path, you should be able to challenge immediately after winning a challenge.
C. You should always be able to place your next challenge immediately after winning a challenge, regardless of who you just won against.
Lmk what y'all think

B Translation for BeSh: Dueling everyone in your path.. as long as they aren't in a challenge.. if they are you'll have to skip them, and wait your 12 hours with the B rule.

It's either A or C...don't go for half assed measures. That's utterly retarded...

Man really, I'm going to stop criticizing Sean but if u want to build something that will last, you need to stop complicating things.
There's a reason why no one is voting, because your shit is long and painful.

Even your updates are heavy man.

Like:

Code
#9 Rucus : Marley (Marley) - Level 98 Zealer challenged #7 Bigal22 : CAPSLOCK (Bigal) - Level 94 Zealer February 23rd

WTF is that?!

There man:
Simple, efficient.

Code
#9 Rucus vs #7 Bigal22 ~ Feb 23rd

I hope you're not taking this the wrong way...

Yeah yeah...
And my ladder was here since 2008... http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=25541066&f=147
and that was also built on experience...and all of these other ladders

http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=61118108&f=147 that ladder uses a similar rule to what I'm suggesting.

http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=42448063&f=147 - If you lost the match, will have to wait for 24h before challenging anyone (this way lower ranks will have an opportunity to challenge you).

FIND ME ONE LADDER OTHER THAN THE EAST NL MELEE LADDER that uses that stupid rule.

Use your head peeps -_-
