If we dont allow people to be able to forfeit, give up a spot, or drop challenges i gaurentee we see more and more 3 day nuls which hold the ladder much worse.

The 6 hour wait discourages false challenges and protects a victor of a duel to have a chance to progress before the person who lost challenges 2 spaces up blocking the winner. (A problem we were facing on the ladder before)

This 6 hour wait could be bumped to 12 hours the same way it was added to the last ladder in the last few weeks. I changed it to 6 hours because i thought 12 hours would hold back the active people trying to push up the ladder, which is what kills it over time.

I understand that, and I don't have an issue with it staying as it is, or bumping to 12 hours. My proposal doesn't stop people from dropping a challenge if they have a reason to drop it. imo if there isn't a good reason to drop the challenge then you shouldn't be able to.

Was just a thought, that made sense to me and apparently Kurt.

Also, in the case of those ss's i already told and pm'd them both that the duels must be re done and proper ss's taken. Ignorance wont be an excuse anymore, esp when the first post in the ladder outlines everything very clearly.

6 hours if fair, it gives the person plenty of time to notice the null and challenge if applicable.

3 dodges or 3 dropped challenges for reset of ladder position sounds fair.

In this case im going to leave it as 6 hours / 2 dodges for now, and see how it plays out.

Forfeiting a spot will be allowed by the challenger or challenged.

i think smiters have no chance vs barbs w/o exile, even with it its unfair

it's arguable vs druid, but what if they use max block or 99fcr/stormshield? then it's a lot harder to win as well

hiho! :)

They duel average barbs so that's why they are saying that.

Simple solution for dropping challenges:

If you drop, it counts as a loss correct? So in the case of a dropped challenge, make it so the person who dropped their challenge cannot challenge ANYONE for 3 days. There is already a 3 day re-challenge rule in effect, so to stop people from abusing the drop challenge rules, penalize them with a wait time. If they have to drop their challenge for legitimate reasons (being unable to get the duel done within their 3 day window) they would free up their opponent to challenge up and not have to wait for the duel to be nulled. It will stop people from abusing it, while not being so harsh as to make them start back at the bottom. If they have to drop they probably don't have time, if they don't have time, then they shouldn't have time to challenge someone new. If they need more than 3 days, go on vacation status. If they don't need all 3 days, don't drop the fucking challenge in the first place and get your duel done.

Decrepify isn't that big of a factor vs. anything besides a zon, infact it can make barbs hit you alot harder; slow missle is gm because you're a character that can't teleport, missles generally move faster than you (or are homing).. you need something to level the playing field a little bit, that being said still almost any caster is superior to a zon even with slow missles.

Not to mention if you SM say a Nec, and he spams Spirits they will turn ibs very quickly, which is annoying. Also SMing a nec and letting him stack a couple spirits then stomping you will really fuck you anyways so you are better off not SMing a good nec :D

Slow missiles doesnt even the playing field it just makes people wait around a box until its gone to attempt a reappraoch. Vs nec with crep it just becomes a retarded-slow-motion version of the real duel
