I respect Memnoch's input, but exile has always been a crucial part of zeal vs zeal melee since early 1.10 and I really love using it. Yes, it's very unfortunate that it contains tap, but all the other benefits outweigh the tap stat. No one has to believe me when I say this, but I use exile only for its defensive attributes, nothing more...

I'm also not a fan of non-tap vs zealers, only non-zealers. Exile allows duels to last and you actually can see the battle progress fairly slowly instead of quick deaths over and over. No one will probably admit it, but when someone actually taps another, everyone gets excited lol. This is true in SETBs anyway.

It's just an unfortunate statistic added to exile, but I don't see it completely ruining the shield all together. I've actually won many duels when I've been tapped, so I don't see it really that much of a major issue. But if exile were to be banned, I honestly think I would lose great interest in melee. It just adds more to the enjoyment of meleeing to me.

lol Eric, you have absolutely nothing to complain about because you're a fury druid and no one uses exile vs you anyway. And have you ever even put an exile on? How can you say its defense sucks? lol

I agree the shield is amazing, maybe we can petition blizz to remove tap in a future update lol...I admit I've been out of the scene for quite some time, and the old days I did always have a lot of fun w/ Exile, and there isn't nearly as much competition on ladder as on nl, so perhaps that's part of my liking non tap so much, it's just made things more competitive. And I don't think that we should ban exile, but maybe have an extension ladder for non tap, only if there is enough interest of course...No lie, in the last 2 weeks alone, I have gone through probably 200 tokens playing around with different non tap builds, it's been exciting trying new things and testing out different gear, and trying to come up with off the wall completely out of the ordinary builds, and actually doing well.

I almost came up w/ a no tap build that can beat a tap build, actually won 1 set out of 3, but for the most part it failed lol...that's my eventual goal, to be the first to come up with a non tap build that can beat tap builds lol...should be a fun challenge.

Wish ladder would reset already so there are more people to duel with, my obsession has always been Zealers :P

Yeah I agree with Bren 100% that Tap does make the duel more exciting, but IMO non-tap would be much more interesting. Its getting to the point where every zealer towards the top uses the exact same gear (shaft/high def gloves/imported vis/edc/angelics) and IMO its starting to get a little boring. The person with the higher def gloves, or more stats on their vis wins, with the exception of luck. Non-tap opens up so much more variety; cooler weapons, armors, rings, even shields. All around, it would add a lot more fun. With non-tap you can make so many more builds work and show your originality. With tap however, if your not using an import vis, shaft, and high def gloves, forget it.

That's why we're making a non tap ladder as well, also steve is #2 and he doesn't use a pally vis, and neither does aleph and his zealot is good, so other builds can work.

Alright then ;)

Didn't realize Steve didn't use a vis. And doesn't Aleph use that crazy vis?

Figured this would be the best place to post it.  Iam8up (the original runner of the old private realms made by tfw) is hosting a version of the 1.09 PvP patch by TFW and Racerx.  Me and another few old schoolers are running it.  It just came up last night and I was here to discuss and see how many melee guys would wanna hop on for melee tournys/melee ladder on there to re-live some old school memories.

http://www.afasteffect.com/  is the main forums (our forums are at the bottom).  Once more users come in, a new patch is going to be implemented as well as a website dedicated to this.

So yeah figured this would be the best place to post this.  Let's discuss my friends :)

who has team viewer and can do this for me asap?!?!? PLEASEEEEEEE IM SO FAWKIN DESPERATE SS DRUIDS >>>>>>>
