I was looking back into the discussion a few pages ago regarding c/t and widescreen but here are my thoughts:
Personally I think the top 3 ranked should be the ones suggesting rules and the veteran mediators should be enforcing what is practical
After 2010 is when c/t became more known but still wasn't something considered to be common knowledge
Very late 1.14 before D2R was released they changed the game mechanically which destroyed a lot of tactical nuance as the curve ability of GA was increased by 1/4 of a screen
Coupling that change with the use of wide screen really changes the dynamic of Amapk at least how we experienced it for the past 20 years
That being said I don't think these things should detour anyone from wanting to compete because I have a feeling D2R has a lot things that may not have been uncovered yet
my overarching sentiment regarding these ^ topics: if we continue to engage in conscientious dialogue, within a matter of weeks or months, we'll likely come to a consensus as a 20-30 player community.
my ideal concept for an admin role: listening/understanding the perceptions of everyone in the scene, advocating for what the community wants—thus maximizing the longevity and harmony of the scene.
