[QUOTE=Jekel,Dec 21 2011 09:08pm]I think i remember that v/t name seems familiar, to bad you still get stuck if you didn't v/c's would be alot more effective and it would bring a more balanced playing field to the duels imo. Anways nice seeing this is still going on maybe 1 day I'll hop on rons vt and play some with the new vtpkers for old times sake.

charge lock is shit. the only way to balance out vts vs vcs would be to rid the holy freeze. this would allow a lot of gear swap and different set ups,

I disagree there was a couple of v/c's back in .11 before the bug was fixed who were capable of maintaining a top 5 position on a 30+ person vtpk ladder. They don't need much to compete imo but the lock bug was kinda suicide for them when it happened to often in a duel.

lol, Honestly I think the biggest impact I had build wise in vtpk was being the first to play without conviction, and wearing 20 ias gloves with pb to maintain a higher smite bp than someone without the 20ias gloves or using a zerker would have.

any of you play in the old days? im not real good with jsp names.

lol'd I signed up in .09 but I didn't know how to use a v/t at all I switched to foh cta which is instant death against good vtpkers.. I didn't know how to lock or anything Garrett sejm is the one who taught me how to nl with v/t's I ough a lot to him.

edit I have duel'd bib aube and some others that were known good vtpkers and Garrett is by far the hardest he is damn good.

He seemed like a good guy i spoke with him about a year ago and we talked about all the old school vtpkers. For being one of the best vt's of his time he was very humble and intrested in learning about the origins of the duel.

Garret is one hell of a playerhe is very humble and knows what he is doing.

The reason Garrett and I got so good was because we vtpk'd each other a lot and we would share our secrets with one another man our duels are epic I wish I could record them without lagging due to fraps..

I agree aube is far better than Bib.

bib wasn't that good imo, he was the only lvl 98 for years dueling lvl 94-95 vt's not to mention there was alot of talk of him using minor heal pots to cancel out foh dmg, some math was even done vs the dmg he said he received per 6k foh hit which was proven to be impossible meaning he lied for kicks or was hiding something idk to this day.

Aube was good though he was the first person to to knock me off #1 on the vtpk ladder over a 1 year period. I still wish i coulda dueled him more only got to duel him twice once in a tourney which i won and once for ladder which I lost, his style really threw me off.

training partners are a must if you want to get good, me and dave/mike/ron/clos dueled each other constantly to get better, at one point we were even offering 5k fg to anyone who could beat 2/4 of us in a set to 5 in the trading section just to gain more practice vs a wider variety of styles. Out of all the class vs class duels I used to do vtpk is the only one i was still consider both a real duel and fun to play, met alot of good ppl and had alot of fun in my time.
