Since I'm back on the ladder again I'll add my 2 cents...

BvB has a certain skill cap to it. WWing, to ppl who don't understand the abilities mechanics, think its brainless but it is extremely difficult to master. In the 10+ years I've been BvBing in D2 and as a member on and off this ladder since day 1 I can say that I've seen very few people do it correctly. I recall a similar issue arise in this thread when people accused me of "wwing dirty" and at the time there was a call by the masses to only be allowed to WW in straight lines... I kid you not look in the earl 1000's pages. The good barbs stayed on the ladder and the ones who didn't know how to cut and time correctly kept losing and eventually left to never be heard form again...

The only possible introduction of a skill cap into this dueling type is allowing gear changes. If a player can guess exactly what his opponents setup is, and knows how to counter it with gear in his stash I don't see why that shouldn't be allowed. Like using the mechanics of WW a top BvB player on this ladder you should be able to tell what he changed his setup to and counter his gear swap.

At the end of this day this ladder always will go on in some fashion or another. To all the new people who I don't know on this ladder that joined since I last left, this is how BvB has been from the beginning on East, if you leave because of someone using gear changes advantageously you wouldn't be the first to try and makes excuses to why you've lost duels and you certainly won't be the last.

I left because of the inconsistencies and contradictions in the original rule. The only thing that is being changed is now you can't tell a mod. It's just accepted all round, lol big fix

Lol - thanks for the insight still bro

Cheers

It doesn't btw

The issue started in game. Bbanee gear changed 5times within ft7. When I told him in game in prefer he chooses one setup and finish the duel he said he gear changes. I said no problem.

When I read the gear change rule at the time it basically said gear change is allowed but don't do it to much, and if it's done to much contact a mod. Well that contradiction alienates the person making the complaint. Like I was

Regardless of you not liking what I said, I still said it cus it is the truth and makes logical sense.

I'm not to worried about this ladder anymore, turns out once BeSh left the ladder was gonna die anyways. Now clanrekt jumping ship. He was able to pull other two westies and I doubt they stay for long with this style.

Im done, cheers

Besh has been gone for quite some time now...comes and goes as he pleases, as anyone is allowed to. Ladder will continue on as always.
