as long as you dont respec typse (aka pure trap sin into hybrid, etc etc) its perfectly allowed (and should be imo). thats what respec tokens are for
if he had respecd before he got into the game would you have known? no. the ladder doesnt say what type of char they are (well for example, you can just put "sin" down, and that allows for room of freeness)

Even respecing trap -> hybrid etc is allowed as long as it's done before the duels start. SickT made that rule a few weeks ago. Probably around page 160.

I think max block or not max block is a HUGE difference and respec'n for specific duels should not be allowed.

I have max block on my sorc, and if I don't need it I simply throw a spirit shield on.
