Im still prety solid on this its a Choice to make a ladder char and a choice to make a non

If I decided to join the ladder melee lader today do i get a chance at #1 upon Joining?

Dave just started at the bottom of this ladder a week ago with a conc barb and has already climbed over10 spots.

Mabi a nice comprimise might be that any previous loadder melee ladder that chose to join united guilds melee lader they have a set period of time where they exempt from the 12 hour rechalenge rule in order to speed the climb of those worthy of high ranks. so if they challenge and win they can rechallenge immediatly.

Im looking for a way to make this merger hapen without destroying the bottom 15 that have fought hard for their ranks how do you tell #15 their now #30 without even giving them a chance to fight thats what would hapen if we merged in the above format. again this has nothing to do with my personal rank on laddder im happy to defend my rank anytime vs anyone its a mater of whats fair for the community.

Sounds like a good idea too, removing the 12 hour rechallenge rule will indeed speed things up.

We might have to shorten the timeframe allowed for duels to be completed from 3 days to maybe 1 or 2 days too to coordinate faster activity.

That's a good idea. And yeah that's true that people on the current ladder would get bumped down a lot so just removing the time restrictions for duels would certainly speed things up. Then the new ladder players shouldn't be to bothered with being placed at the bottom. That seemed to be why steve was so against being placed at the bottom since he felt it would take way to long to climb the ladder with so many participants. It's another option.

24 or 12 hours would be good for rechallenge but timeframe just leave it as 3 days if u put it as 1-2 days then they dont have time to complete it.

Yeah this is a good point. Otherwise there would be tons of dodges left and right. 1 day would probably mean 99% dodges lol. Leave it at 3 day for dodges but just remove the time restrictions to rechallenge.

So current suggestion as I read is this:

- Ladder players will be added to bottom of current ladder
- Remove time delay for re-challenges

This way no one gets upset that they lost their hard earned spot and the ladder players can advance up the ladder relatively quickly.

Almost right but still far away. keeping the rechallenge like a day I say. like good 12 hours if they continue dodging then remove them asap thats whyyou put numbers or whatever on near thier name to notice they dodge or else they going continue do it.

It's already at 12 hours to issue another challenge. Temporarily removing that rule will give the ladder players a chance to claim a higher rank.

Oh that problem Yeah, we can remove that. that's fine XD

It seemed to be Steve's main concern was that it would take forever to go from the bottom of the ladder to the top after the ladder players join the nl ladder. So this would solve that issue and hopefully end the debate
