One way I can imagine this working and not affecting pvp much is if they added AOE splash on FOH. In PVP where mostly it’s 1 on 1, this AOE wouldn’t impact the skill’s effectiveness for the most part, but in PVM that splash could be a big upgrade to the skill’s usefulness.

I think something we all should remember is that the patch notes thusfar have been VAGUE. Buffing skills doesn’t mean it’s always going to be a straight damage upgrade; changes to the mechanics of how the skill function, adding new hitboxes, changing casting times, etc. are all in the realm of possibility because nothing has been confirmed.

Let’s wait until they actually release more info before we start wetting our panties, yeah?

I'd be totally ok with something like the splash damage off FoH.
I'm honestly just worried this design team is going to do something fucking stupid and then refuse to fix it.
Thus far they have chosen to completely ignore the feedback from the pvp community.
This is very concerning now that a full-on balance patch is about to happen for the first time in 20 years.
I'm worried something honestly game breaking like "pierce on guided arrow" is going to happen again and we'll never see it changed.

I didn't make any outrageous claims in that official forum thread that I wrote. I simply wanted their design team to get the message of "Please be careful."
That's all I wanted them to hear, myself say it, and others from the pvp community.
So far no one really seems to care, which I find not so surprising after they ignored us the first time around.

How could it possibly be bad when pvp is dogshit in its current state anyway?

Additionally, we see opportunities for Bone skill improvements in high difficulty. We’re tweaking synergies on this front.

wonder if they will change any pvp penalties. buffing certain elements/damage types for pvm but increasing the pvp penalties could have potentially little to no effect, for example
