one starts top right other starts bottom left and every duel you alternate. this is not a rule change you do not have to do this. this was just a suggestion which i dont disagree with ( i think this is what they do at hld as well ).

Hey, can you add to the rules that you can't intentionally target a shaper's spirit? Of course zeal will often auto-aim it when the spirit decides to be suicidal but conc should never be hitting the spirit. I've had to specify this a few times now - would be nice if it were explicitly written in the rules. Shapers have a hard lot already...

I typically don't change rules mid tournament. I feel your pain here as shapers are close to my heart. The current position must be as its not in the rules that an opponent cannot attack a minion, its fair game. These December tournaments were hosted with a view to iron out as much of this as possible on a go forward basis so apologies for any teething issues.

it's not a new rule, it's common in all melee duels....like common sense - I assumed it wasn't mentioned because it was obvious

New players, or players unfamiliar with the historic melee only scene, will not know this. remember we have a whole new population of players for d2r. Typically @ the HLD scene for melee tournaments there are the rules and underneath that the OP would typically explain how the duels are completed. I will do something like that for the next tournament. please be patient and consider this a learning curve for all.
