some matchups oak is required or its just so 1 sided

This is a fair criticism. I'm indifferent however.

my point is just that it creates unbalanced matchups in general. it definitely helps a lot of classes deal with necro, but it unbalances more matchups than it balances.

maybe make oak charges legal if the m/u is fpk vs fpk char? oak always being allowed vs nec? idk

tbh most of the people that are proponents of oak being allowed are fpk players who are used to playing with it anyways, and where it benefits their fpk chars disproportionately compared to many non-fpk chars.



see attached on how legalizing oak is making a subjective preference something that's forced on everyone


anyway i am really not that passionate about oak being allowed or not. i have just been on many ladders where fpk players join pub games and oak and everybody else complains about it, which should be an indication on who this rule benefits.

Oak makes duels more fun / promotes more offensive play.

Competent necs would never use oak vs any fpk chars anyways. If it comes down to nvn it’s typically spear only with no oak.

Barbs only really use em bvn and won’t leap whore as much

174 sins use oak cuz no claw block and they’re just going glass cannon big dik energy mode

Take away oak from hdin and it completely gimps it vs necs and zons and makes hvh a nightmare with everyone being a joderdin.

Edit: no one that’s actually good at the game complains about oak

what about a list of matchups where it's automatically allowed, otherwise both sides have to agree? might be more trouble than it's worth though

The rule sets that were recent all allowed charges and no one that makes it in top spots has any issues with it. The ppl that complain in most of the scenarios are the ones that will get first rounded every time. There really isn’t a match up out there where having oak gives you significant advantage, where as taking it away will make a lot of matchups REALLY awful

Fpk which was gey to begin with , will be even more homosexual

Oak was always BM in the past, so I never used it until D2R and didn't really like it at first, but now that I've played with/against it a ton I think it should be allowed. It doesn't feel unfair to use or to play against. I say that as necro.
