If we're actually thinking about modifications to the rules to account for the dissimilarities that D2R has, it's not helpful nor constructive to simply joke about one skill in the game.
Every stunning skill is affected by the removal of WSG. MB likely the most severely, but there's also smite, and hell even leap.

To be honest, another potentially even more impactful change is the addition of 19:9 monitor support. Ultrawide isn't supported, but 19:9 is a massive change from the old 800x600, which was the standard for GM duels without FC.
The addition of twice as much visibility (and thus teleport and casting range) in both directions drastically affects the viability of every class.
