Challenging (Read this before you issue any challenge):

If I may ask, if one were to consider rolling with a Vis (eth, self-rep, high-def), would you prefer a Conq or GCrown? I know there's a rather big difference in the Str req, and little difference in the overall defense, should two comparable, if not identical helms were used.

On West it's Conq Crown all day, especially given that they've got E.Z.Bugged AP Fort, East is pretty much bound to rolling with SA Fort, and subsequently, Jewels such as the 30/60/9/9 in the SS, and sometimes Helm as well, whereas a fairly common build is with a 30/60/9D/-15 in the SS on West with one additional point of Str for Conq Vis.

I'm not quite sure im following you here but...If you built your barb correctly the jewel in the SS makes little difference. If you are using an upp'd, double upp'd Vis, or an uppd arreats for that matter there will be very little effectiveness of the jewels. (the helms would require 176 or 196 str) The only time when a jewel would come into play would be when using an AP build (or something of that str req's nature), in which you could specify that much needed dex on a jewel and avoid str for a more suitable stat like -15%. So in answering your question it really all depends on the build you choose: If you are using SA then ofc go with a double upp Gcrown (in which case youll still require more str for SA). If you are using an AP a -15% jewel would come in mighty handy with a Conq crown.

/e I prefer to use a low str req helm. (not only for functionability but for appearance as well.)
