he pmed me earlier while i was sleeping asking if i just wanted to null this challenge i told him id rather get the duel done as im trying to move up this ladder rather than remaining idle like I've been, but he's offline now. On most ladders, if the person you challenge dodges you for 3 days the challenger gets the spot. I already have 2 people pming me about a challenge and its bullshit that i don't get to duel nor the ability to challenge up if the duel gets nulled.

Sounds like a dodge to me since he just now responded 4 days later asking you to null.

i agree, and people are already challenging me as if the duel was nulled when i feel as though i should be awarded the spot.
