If u glitched him this time round, that means you use lesser Strength pts than before, correct?

That equates to more pts in Vitality or Dexterity (and god forbids, Energy), which equates to a different build in many sense.

By restarting at the bottom, u can have fun challenging everyone too, and that is what a ladder is for imo, to duel and make friends while trying :)
