A couple items to note.

We've added a rule to prevent people from challenging themselves on the ladder. The spirit of taking on a ladder challenge or ladder ranking is to duel and defeat a number, or all opponents, on your way to the top. We felt that challenging oneself did not embrace the spirit of the ladder.

We've removed the concept of an "Active Appointed Updater." We want the Ladder Committee Members to remain active in the community. One way to do so is to actively be involved in updating the ladder rankings. We felt that appointing designated updates circumnavigated that responsibility. Another reason why we removed this designation is because we felt that it perpetuated a hierarchy. In addition to creating a balanced ladder for all classes (except for Sunzuu's dominant Titties), we wanted to create a ladder experience that catered to and developed the Melee community. If you'd like be involved in posting ladder updates then please shoot me a PM or discord message. I'd be happy to connect with you to make sure you know how to properly do so and what that responsibility entails.
