Let’s talk about the 3 multi cap rule …. Can we actually do a vote on this ?

I personally think it encourages tedious duels of zons hiding at each side of the moor with max rep life spamming ga

A good mixed multi and ga zon should win every time and there is no advantage to just spamming multi

my zon is largely built around multi with an emphasis on attack rating, penetrate, 24 arrows. i've always respected the 3-volley rule. i actually feel like a tool when i accidentally fire 4x in a row, so much so that i usually self-penalize by waiting several seconds to shoot again.

undoubtedly, guided requires more accuracy, better gamesense, so the majority of competitive play should be centered around GA. multi can be used very tactically, but when you're shooting a wide fan of arrows, pretty much the only thing you have to worry about is your timing, enemy placement, then point in one cardinal direction and shoot.

it'd be impossible to respect competitive zvz without a cap on multishot. i'll continue to beef up my attack rating and char level to maximize the effectiveness of multi, but i'm happy sticking with 3 max consecutive, and i usually aim for 1 or 2 to avoid overshooting it. unlimited multi makes more sense in zva where enemies generally have teleport, team duels and that sort of thing.

This is so wrong

There’s no reason to cap a skill like multi because it doesn’t add any significant advantage and it actually balances duels

Saying the duels should be centred around ga because “it requires more accuracy” is absolutely ridiculous

I didn't played ZvZ on GM rules yet but I used to play back in legacy on PCL / EP rules which didn't allow you to use mana pots.
Without mana pots you simply cannot spam multi and you naturally need to manage multi/mana. I think it's quite good solution.
You also go for around 15-18 arrows instead of 24, and melee ring with mana become much more useful.

Spamming multi will actually encourage more l8z duels because you can easily stay out of its range. So from experience I’m not surprised it’s banned

Any zon I have ran into that uses more multi than GA got shit on anyway

the technical, high-skill-cap side of zvz: c/t, gamesense regarding enemy placement, pathing, when to look out for invis arrows.

spamming multi is rather mindless in comparison.
