Errol won the first match to send john into the loser bracket.
They both now had 1 loss in the tournament.
John then beat errol in loser side to give errol his 2nd loss of the tournament, eliminating errol from the tournament making john the winner.

Any match you guys did after this was invalid because the tournament was already done.

Ok ill try to explain this better for everyone, It is indeed a double elimination bracket but when I started the tournament double elim has an option to choose if the Finale match can be double or single elim and for the finale match I changed the option to a single match and Mainframe won but he thought it was the old double elim so they did a 2nd match which tonice won and with the old option tonice would of won so it was kindof messed up and I decided they do a 3rd set to decide winner which Erroll won. It wouldn't of been wrong of me to just give erroll the win since he actually did win with the current tourney rules.

but yea I think ill go back to the old style next tourney, some ppl think its more fair. I thought this would be more simple but guess not lol

Errol=1 loss=1st place

If john had won the 3rd invalid match, errol would have 3 losses in a double elim tourney?

You should prolly just admit that you used the wrong bracket format and do the right thing here.
