Not trying to flame/spam but here's my opinion:
You need to sort out this rule of "the onus being on the challenger", its vague and completely pointless, if a person has clearly made more of at attempt/ been more available, they should get the spot irrespective of whether they are defending or challenging. If circumstances meant the duel couldn't be compleed the mod should say that the duel needs to be extended.

how can it be quoted on next message? the FIRST pm is DIFFERENT from the following 2 (check the titles). you deleted the first msg when I responded to it and you didn't respond back obv I wont get the quoted msg. WHY would I have to set something up with you? youre the challenger, im the defender, onus is on you. besides you didn't even give me a SCHED of your AVAILABILITY other than pming me when im offline, I aint gunna sit at comp all day waiting for you to pm me which u didn't anyways until 2 days after.
This is silly, the underlined is precicely what you're expecting him to do - if you had made an equal attempt to get the duel done, it would've been.

the duel had to be done by like 10:30 last night.. neither of us posted for extension. so it's been nulled.

it would be a invalid duel and i waste of both of our time. the challenge is valid the second you post. that's how it works. update doesn't need to happen for it to be valid. some duels could be 5 days long by that logic
Comments like this are pointless, its clear that this user is trying to get out of duelling on a technicality (i.e. waiting out the length of the challenge), its a duelling ladder not a court of law, mod should award the duel to the challenger or give an extra day to duel.

I'm just gonna point out I haven't had any duels nulled or dodged and you've had your last two nulled. Seems you're the problem not me.
That doesn't mean he's a problem, it might just mean people don't want to duel him as they think they'll lose (if you want to maximise your position on the ladder and you think you'd lose if you duel, its worth dodging him as you have a better chance of the duel being nulled and keeping the spot than keeping the spot by winning).
Heh, tl;dr version: Put more emphasis on the defender to do duels ty
