You lost your last duel so in this instance you fall into OpenWound's previous spot.

Seems silly, rather than displacing CanaanBallZ and I both down a spot while putting Mike in #6. But if that's how things work, that's how things work...

I challenge CanaanBallZ.

simple just fight back to where you were,
I agree though, i'd much rather have people challenge one spot below like how i made it to 5th..
I never challenged anything past 1 spot below

I'm not saying I don't like being able to challenge two spots ahead; this prevents stagnation and keeps things interesting, particularly once one has reached, mm, the appropriate position for one's skills/build.
Swapping spots with the winner, though, is advancing the middle guy for free. Doesn't make sense to me... but my logic is not everyone's logic.

Well that technicality originates from a certain Azn. *Ahem* I have no issue changing it if everyone else agrees. This will force inactive players down in rank.

the guy in middle does not advance at all i take your place because i beat you and you go too where i was its why its called defending a spot :P and why would i challenge 1 spot ahead if ic an challenge two? my goal is too get too #1 spot so if i can challenge too spots ahead till rank 5 im going too :P

its a habbit, its how they're been doing it since i first ran the ladders so i just stuck to it. but ur right... it is sorta unfair for middle guy to get a "free rank" i suppose. cuz if 7 beats 5.... why does 5 have to go below 6.... he was originally still higher. so i see what hes saying

if mike and no one else objects, we can change the rankings on next update.

Yeah. Imagine if we allowed anyone to challenge anyone else; #8 could challenge #1 and they'd have to switch positions if #1 lost. Would that be fair? Because it's the same thing on a smaller scale. :bonk:

theres a reason to why we only allow 2 challenges at a time

but then again to back up my old theory. that number 8 would NEVER beat the #1 guy. so its ok :)
