Figured I'd share this with you guys. I did comparisons of ZvZ builds, comparing gores vs travs, cats vs highlords, 3max sc's vs fire sc's, and all of those different combinations.
Mathematically, what makes one build better than the other is survivability
Assume you have two equally skilled duelers, whichever build takes more hits to kill is the better build. So I do a Life/Guided damage(average) comparison between the two builds.
TLDR:
Gores are better than War Travs
Cats eye is better than highlords
19-29 fire dmg small charms are better than 3max IF your opponent has less than 50 fire res. If they have more than 50 fire res then 3max sc's are better
It is always best to stat dex for max block, then rest to vita. Adding 100 extra dex is not as good as adding 100 extra Vita. (this is not included below but I did compare them)
Note also that adding 100 extra dex will give you more AR, which helps multi hit more often, but it only increases your chance to hit from ~ 89% to 92%.
Also, some things cant be tested, like if you put a 40ed/9dex jewel in gaze, then ber your shield, you will have 40DR bow/48DR shield. Which is better, (40ed/9dex + 40DR bowside) or (48DR bow side), thats up to you.
Whistans will look better on paper due to it being able to get max block with 177dex, while swordback needs 244(?), but swordback has that 50%OW on switch which is hard to account for mathematically.
Same with gores, gores are better on paper because the 15 DS increases chance to do double damage by 4-5%, and mathematically the 10% Ow is counted as 10% * 306. So gores are great, but if that OW doesnt proc, then travs will be better.
