About 85% play with rare sa and botd, only cause it getting mainstreamed and its known for being very strong. And now witj those importers its cheap to
But there are other who try new things or try to compansate their lack of def with a better playstyle
I can only speak for myself who uses a armor with about 400 less def but i got no run malus on my armor and a hl 08 so i compansate it with much flexibilty and i can say those slow sa builds are sometimes rly easy to outplay because im so much faster then they are.
Conclusion. You are right many play same build but in dont say its a shame its just how they adapted to the market and we(who are maybe a bit more individual) should adapt to them and try to counter their weaknesses
