Challenge System - Please Read Before Issuing New Challenges:

-To Sign Up, Post Your D2jsp Name/Character Name/Type of Character

- You are allowed to challenge anyone on the ladder at any rank at any time

- To issue a challenge you must message your opponent on jsp if they aren't currently in game with you

- A challenge will be first to 15 wins

- You may swap gear 3 times during a set

- Post scores in this thread

GM Shapeshifting Rules:

- Good Manner (GM) Rules Apply to all Duels (See Below)
- ALL CLASSES ARE ALLOWED! Fury, Maul, Bear Barb, Wolf Barb, Beardin, Bearsin, Bearzon, Necrobear, etc. Just follow GM Rules!
- Shockwave Ref IS allowed but not mandatory
- Using a token mid-challenge is not allowed
- Recasting sage if it dies IS allowed
- If both players use Metamorphosis, prebuff Mark on Oak Sage/Heart Of Wolverine before each duel. Otherwise don't prebuff Mark.
- Reshifting if you return to human form IS allowed only for Fury v Fury - reshift is not allowed vs Maulers or non-Druids
- Shifting between Bear and Wolf form is allowed but you must sign up as Hybrid - You must also shift between forms in every duel
- FvF duel is only over when someone dies, or if you are a Werewolf unshifted by a Werebear or non-Druid - Normal Attacking in Human form is ALLOWED!
- Duels are held in Inner Cloister or Blood Moor
- Duels are held in Normal mode

Prohibitions:

- Do not use spirits (Oak & HoW ) on Fury Druids vs non-Druids
- Do not prebuff with +skill items that you aren’t wearing for the actual duel
- EXCEPTION: non-Druids that don't have access to the skill Battle Orders are allowed to use the Horadric Cube for CTA
- Do not use slow
- Do not enchant
- Do not jump
- Do not pot
- Do not use knockback
- Do not use items that emit elemental damage auras
- Do not cast item/torch charges

List of Banned Items:

[Weapons - Rares/Magics/Uniques]

Any weapon with multiple elemental damage types with more than 200 max dmg total of each, or more than 500 max dmg of a single element
Any weapon with more than 100 poison damage
Any weapon that casts Amplify Damage
Any ethereal weapon with no repair mod or zod rune (breakable) - Javelins that can be repaired by Barbarians are exempt from this rule
Chance to cast weapons such as Oath and Stormlash are allowed as long as they don't violate another rule
Death and Grief runewords are currently banned

[Armors]

FORTITUDE IS BANNED FOR SEASON 4
Any armor that casts enchant
Any armor that otherwise violates the GM rules
Any ethereal armor with no repair mod or zod rune (breakable)
Circlets with less than 100 poison damage are allowed
Andariel's Visage is allowed

Additional Rules:

[Starting Duel] - Hold the Shift attack towards your opponent to signal that you are ready, once both are swinging, commence the duel

[Miss-Clicking] - Continue fighting unless both parties agree to restart or redo

[Shifting/Ranging] - Attempting to outrange your opponent by stopping early with the Shift key is not allowed - Click & Hold mouse until both players are in range and swinging

[Gear Check] - Gear check can be requested and is performed by Ref if available. If Ref isn't used, items requested for gear check are to be linked in game chat. Going to stash on gear check request is auto DQ

[Glitched Strength] - Auto disqualification will result if you die and can't pick up gear

[Chilling Armor] - FORT IS BANNED IN SEASON 4 SO YOU WILL NEVER HAVE CHILLING ARMOR

[Lifetap Gear] - Not allowed

[Starting Position] - Players can start from any position - "lining up" on the grid is not required.

*The Elo Rating System is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players in zero-sum games such as chess and eSports. It is named after its creator Arpad Elo, a Hungarian-American physics professor. Zero-sum means whatever is gained by one player is lost by the other. All players start at 1500 Elo from their first Duel and will rise or drop from there. Elo is gained or lost based on an expected win %. If you perform above expectations, you will gain more Elo points from your opponent. If you perform below expectations, your opponent may take Elo points from you even if you win the set. Duels vs an opponent with your same Elo have a 50% expected win rate. If you are 100 points higher than your opponent, your expected win rate is 64%. If you are 100 points lower than your opponent, your expected win rate is 36%. If you are 200 points above you opponent, your expected win rate is 76%, if you are 200 points below your opponent, your expected win rate is 24%, etc.
