Not sure if there was confusion here or what but I updated this and counted those challenges as null
But it does bring up the idea that this ladder could possibly use a new rule that allows challenges of 3 above your name, rather than 2 as a normal rule
It would help keep things more active at this point in DII's lifespan

I think I brought up a similar idea awhile back - allow anyone on the ladder to challenge #1.  If they win the challenge, the whole ladder moves up 1 rank, and #1 gets dropped to the bottom.  If #1 defends, and they arn't from the #2 or #3 slot, then it doesn't go to the defended count.  This way, #1 becomes 'harder' to keep.

What do you guys think?

Otherwise you don't need a ladder.

So keep the rules as they are, but once you reach top5 status, you can challenge anyone you want within the top5, or simply go for #1.
