Haha, hey there! It is been a while since I have talked to a lot of you, but it seems most of your opinions of me still are the same unfortunately. Luckily, that was a LONG time ago, and things are not the same.
A clean version of D2PK will be up probably before the week ends. I've been talking about with multiple people, it isn't really something I just decided to do out of nowhere, I've probably been messaged atleast 2-3 times every month from people asking if I am going to bring back a PvP server.
This is strictly for the people asking for it, there will be no importing, fake items, or anything like that. I've ran another non-pvp server since January 2015 that has come a long way, D2PK will be hosted / tied into the same server, so since I'm already paying the server bill it is literally just for people to play on, no matter how active or dead it is it won't change anything for me. The server it is running on is really high end and in a good central'ish location, so it should be very playable for just about anyone in the US / Canada. Because of this there will obviously not be any updates in the future really, but the patch was already to close to ideal for PvPing it won't really need updates anyway, and let's be honest I am sure a lot of you wouldn't want me changing it in the first place!
There are NVs but that is it, it is all purely cosmetic and you buy them directly in-game from a vendor, there will be no ftp to prevent any possible ways of abuse. Essentially I am making the patch perfect for just jumping in and PvPing, setting up the server, and letting it run. It will have the neat features that was developed for it in the past though; such as more than 8 players in a game, spectator mode to watch the duels from town, and a scoreboard on the party screen to track K/D/A. In my opinion they are all just conveniences and a pleasure to have, if that turns you guys off from it I am sorry, but it would just be too much work to go in and rip all of that out. I have removed anything that may upset you guys item wise, so I hope that will suffice. This server is being setup and dedicated specifically for all of you oldschool pvpers who just want to PvP without the worries public servers bring, so I hope you atleast give it a shot.
