every ladder has coold down periods. this allows for updates and also stops someone from avoiding duels by always having a pending duel.

the part i dont understand, is how i might get "stuck" in a spot. say im #2 and #3 challenges me and i win, then 5 hours later, #4 challenges me - it takes a day to get the duel going, so its pending, and i win.. have to wait 12 hours, and #3 challenges me again . and etc etc.

maybe there shud be a rule like

you can be challenged a max of twice (while ranked at one #), and then u get u get ZERO cooldown (if you win both challenges), so right after u win, u can challenge up - and not get stuck being challenged by the two people below you over and over

No bro because u have 12 hours after winning.....( if they challenge u u dont have to wait ) and they have 24 hours after they lose.....so its very structural
